Standard alloy for selective and wave soldering
SN97C can be used for wave soldering, selective soldering and dip tinning and is a near eutectic alloy with a small melting range. The copper-free refill alloy SN97Ce keeps the copper content of the solder bath within the process limits. With silver-containing alloys, the strong copper dissolution can lead to problems, especially at higher process temperatures and with small wire cross-sections. The BALVER ZINN ALLOY SN97C complies with the specifications of J-STD-006B.
