SN96C

Standard alloy for selective and wave soldering

BALVER ZINN alloy SN96C (SnAg3,8Cu0,7) is a standard eutectic alloy when very high reliability is required.

SN96C can be used for wave soldering, selective soldering and dip tinning and has the lowest melting point of the tin-Silver-copper alloys. The copper-free refill alloy SN96Ce keeps the copper content of the solder bath within the process limits. In case the alloy contains silver, the strong copper dissolution can lead to problems, especially at higher process temperatures and with small wire diameters. Alloy SN96C complies with the specifications of J-STD-006B.
