Gregor & Josef Jost The head office of Balver Zinn Josef Jost GmbH & Co. KG is located in the town of Balve in a region in Germany known as the "Sauerland." The company is one of the leading manufacturers of solders and high-quality anodes with various alloys as well as specialty wires for the electronics industry and surface refinement applications. Lead free products for the electronics industry are especially among the core competencies of the company.

The family owned and operated company started to become active in the metal and metalworking industry in the late 19th century. In 1976, the company was entered into the Commercial Registry. Today, third-generation family members Josef and Gregor Jost manage the company. Business activities of the company employing a staff of more than 100 include global sales and distribution of a comprehensive range of products.

Balver Zinn's partnership with the Japanese company Nihon Superior, whose lead free, patented solders are exclusively produced and distributed in Europe by Balver Zinn, as well as distribution partnership with the British DKL Metals Ltd. and the U.S. company Florida CirTech Assembly Inc. have allowed Balver Zinn to develop a global sales and distribution network.

Products:
Products Balver Zinn is a market leader for providing galvanized anodes as well as anodes made from block tin or tin-lead and special tin and tin-lead wires. Balver Zinn produces solders suitable for all standard applications – from wave soldering to manual soldering and with different lead free alloys.

The patented lead free solder SN100C as well as other solders and paste solders of the "SN" series are produced and sold by Balver Zinn exclusively in Europe since 2002 under license of its Japanese cooperation partner Nihon Superior.

The stabilized tin-copper eutectic SN100C is ideally suited for lead free wave soldering of electronics components. Stabilization improves the structure of the tin-copper solder and with that the mechanical and technical soldering properties.

A water-based flux rounds out Balver Zinn's product portfolio for lead free soldering and renders the company a comprehensive supplier of solutions and one-source production processes.

Thomas Kolossa Balver Zinn is ready to assist its customers with the conversion to lead free soldering. Moreover, the company has been involved with technical committees and trade panels, delivering lectures involving all aspects of "lead free soldering in the electronics industry."

In the area of recycling, Balver Zinn offers its customer expert consulting concerning all questions of storage, transport logistics, and recycling of metal waste and scraps. One of Balver Zinn's special services consists of providing recycling containers required by law to its metal product customers.
